Water Main & Hydrant Flushing - Proston Rural Water Scheme

As a part of Council’s routine maintenance programs and commitment to ensure the long-term sustainability and efficiency of our water infrastructure, Council will be conducting water main and hydrant flushing on the Proston Rural Water Scheme, commencing Tuesday 1 September 2026 with an expected finish date of Friday 18 September 2026.

SBRC 26/27-01 Supply and/or Construct Ensuites & Cabins

South Burnett Regional Council advises that as part of planned maintenance to a water main, Council will be isolating water to a number of properties in Cornish Street, Buchanan Street and Kingaroy Street Kingaroy on Tuesday 1 September 2026 between 8am and 12pm.

The Flood Study is now in its final phase. Final flood maps for the major historical flood events of 2010, 2013 and 2022 have been prepared and are now available for the community to view. These maps show how flooding occurred during these significant events across the Burnett River catchment.
