Ambassador for Lake Boondooma and Bjelke Petersen Dam
South Burnett Regional Council announced the appointment of local personality Matthew Mott, nationally recognised professional sports fisherman, as Ambassador for Lake Boondooma and Bjelke Petersen Dam.
The role of the Ambassador is to promote the facilities and dams as well as the South Burnett region when undertaking media and promotional commitments. Matthew, currently Australian Fishing Championship title holder, will also provide a link to the fishing communities who regularly utilise the region’s dams for competitions and recreational activities. The facilities of Lake Boondooma Caravan and Recreation Park and Yallakool Park on BP Dam (Bjelke-Petersen Dam) will benefit greatly from this partnership with Matthew.
This ambassador initiative is the first formal partnership of this nature for the new South Burnett Regional Council and will be a creative and effective way of communicating to visitors the ‘magic of the South Burnett’.
