Public Trial:  

South Burnett Regional Council is offering a trial period of public access to the learn to swim heated pool at Kingaroy Aquatic Centre.

Trial Dates: Monday 22 September 2025 to Wednesday 17 December 2025

Times:      8:15am – 9:15am Monday and Wednesday each week, Public Holiday - available 10am – 11am

Rules

  1. A Lifeguard must always be present to perform life saving duties and not to assist with entering and exiting the pool.
  2. Trainers, physiotherapists, and carers must be in the pool with their clients at all times.
  3. To access the pool, people must be able to enter and exit via the stairs and bench seating within the pool.
  4. No chair lift is available.
  5. The heated pool is not to be used for lap swimming.
  6. No children are allowed access to the pool without a parent in the water with them
  7. Children under the age of 12 must be within arm’s reach at all times.

Please be advised:

  • The indoor heated learn-to-swim pool temperature is 30°C. This pool is not at hydrotherapy pool temperature.
  • Pool access is not suitable for disabled or physically impaired patrons.

WJ Lang Memorial Olympic Pool - Kingaroy

Proston Swimming Pool

On Friday 28 November 2025, Proston Swimming Pool will be reopened to the public to use from 4:00pm. The pool’s public opening hours are as follows:

  • Fridays: 4:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 11:00am to 4:00pm
  • Public Holidays: Closed
  • School Holidays: 11:00am to 4:00pm every day

Entry fees:

  • Adult - $4.50
  • Children under 12 - $3.00
  • Senior / Concession Card holders - $3.50

The pool will close at the end of the swimming season, in April 2026, depending on water temperature. Please note that there are no heating options at the pool.

The canteen and kiosk area will be unavailable for use during this swimming season.
