South Burnett Regional Council library services continue… online!

Back

ALL library items including books and DVDs have been automatically renewed until Monday 1 June 2020.

Following the closure of Council’s libraries, and with the health and safety of our community members and staff remaining paramount, Council would like to advise residents that there is no need to make a trip out of the house to return overdue library items.

ALL library items including books and DVDs have been automatically renewed until Monday 1 June 2020, so rest assured that there will not be any fines or charges incurred.

Even though our libraries remain closed to the public, library members are encouraged to check out the online services available such as BorrowBox and Kanopy… all you need is a library card!

BorrowBox

Learn how you can access thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks for FREE from the comfort of your own home by simply downloading the BorrowBox App. Visit BorrowBox for further information.

Kanopy

South Burnett Library members have access to more than 30,000 films - for FREE - with Kanopy! Library card holders can access and sign up to start streaming films instantly by visiting Kanopy.

Don’t forget to visit Council’s website ‘Libraries’ page for more information on E-Resources, resources for children (including our new Library Story Time videos) and some great online links.

Council staff will continue to work within a risk management framework to provide services.

Council urges all residents to join us with ‘flattening the curve’ by ensuring hygiene practices are in place and minimising contact where possible. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Members of the community are encouraged to keep informed on the latest health advice from QLD Health, phoning 13 HEALTH or visiting Council’s website COVID-19 page or Council’s Facebook page for further information.

Should you have any questions or require assistance with online library services, please contact Council’s library team during business hours by phone on 4189 9256 or email.
