Official Opening - Nanango
Come along to the official opening of the Nanango Customer Service Centre and Library, and Green Family Place.
Community members are invited to join us for the official opening of the newly refurbished Nanango Customer Service Centre and Library and Green Family Place on Thursday 23 January 2020.
The Customer Service Centre and Library is a key hub for the Nanango community and we’re excited to see the refurbishment works completed. These upgrades will extend the useful life of the asset for at least another 30 years and will provide seating for up to 70 staff.
The construction works, funded through Council’s 2018-19 and 2019-20 Capital Works program, have improved functionality, accessibility and amenity of this important community facility. The refurbishment features energy efficiency improvements, structural repairs, new electrical wiring and air conditioning, disability compliance, new insulated roofing, new guttering, removal of internal box gutters, replacement of damaged ceiling, and new floor coverings throughout the office. In addition, a new meeting room in the library can be used for study and research, and the library’s open public space features areas for children’s reading, public computer access, and room for children’s art and craft activities during school holidays.
