Notice of Works - Water Bore Flow Testing - Barkers Creek/Meandu Creek Flats

Council has programmed to commence water bore flow testing on the Barkers Creek/Meandu Creek flats West of Nanango commencing Tuesday 5 June 2018.

This project is necessary to ensure that the adequacy of water is supplied to the pumping systems, which provides sustainable drinking water supply to the Nanango Township.  The bore test will not impact on the current water supply to Nanango.

Works will include a 100hr pump test of each of the three (3) bores.  Neighbouring farmers have declined the offer for the bore water therefore the flow will be directed to Barkers and Meandu Creeks.  Works are required at this time of year when water supply demand is lower.
