Call for 2023 Australia Day Award Nominations

Back

Nominations are now open for the South Burnett region’s annual Australia Day Awards for 2023.

The awards will be presented on Sunday, 22 January 2023 at the Nanango Showgrounds.

Mayor Brett Otto said that it was important to acknowledge community members and groups who go above and beyond for the benefit of people in the South Burnett.

“Wherever you live, from Blackbutt to Proston, you can nominate a person or group of people in your community who do an outstanding job in looking after others, local heroes who stand up and work hard.”

“These awards allow equal opportunity across the entire South Burnett to recognise the invaluable work being done by the many local community groups and individuals.”

“The Australia Day Awards will recognise commitment and tenacity in creating a better quality of life for our region,” said Mayor Otto.

Award nominations will be judged by a panel of people drawn from throughout the South Burnett.
