South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group – Update 1 – Move to Alert

The South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group has moved its status to alert as the region continues to watch weather systems around the Wide Bay and Burnett Regions.

The region is likely to receive falls of 50mm to 100mm, however some parts may see locally heavier falls in excess of 100mm.

Some areas of the South Burnett may receive additional alerts and the community should continue to follow the Bureau of Meteorology for updates.

South Burnett residents are advised:

• In a life threatening emergency, call Triple Zero 000

• For assistance, download the “SES Assistance QLD” app available on Android and Apple devices if phone lines are busy or call 132 500.

• Impacts to roads e.g., flooded, damaged, please continue to call Council’s after hours team on 07 4189 9100.

Keep up to date on all road closures, weather warnings, flood warnings and emergency news on the South Burnett Disaster Dashboard.
