South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) update #4 on COVID-19

Representatives of the South Burnett Regional Council Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) continued to meet today with members of the Cherbourg LDMG and the District Disaster Group

to monitor and respond to the COVID positive cases across the whole region.

The total number of cases within the South Burnett Regional Council Local Government area is 39 (includes 3 historic cases) as at 7:00 pm on 2 January 2022 and advice received today from Queensland Health has indicated a further 8 cases in Kingaroy and Murgon.

Please remember that all should expect that any interaction in the community could lead to a COVID exposure.  Our community can minimise our risk of exposure with social distancing, wearing of masks and of course vaccination. 

If you are showing any signs or symptoms, please contact QLD Health to arrange a COVID-19 test. Ring 13 42 68 to talk to Queensland Health and arrange your test at one of the testing sites.

  • Nanango Hospital
  • Murgon Hospital
  • QML Pathology Kingaroy
  • Kingaroy Hospital

Monitor your health and if you show any signs of symptoms or are a close contact, you should follow QLD Health direction, be tested and isolate until you receive your test results.
