KTP Update - Scheduled works from 11 October – 25 October 2021

Back

South Burnett Regional Council advises of the continued Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works.

  • Line marking is scheduled for Alford Street between Youngman Street and the roundabout on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 October 2021. Parking bays adjacent to businesses along Alford Street will be progressively closed from 6.00pm, and a full road closure is expected to be in force from 9.00pm to 8.00am. Pedestrian access will be maintained during this time.
  • Haly Street remains open for westbound traffic only, between Youngman Street and Kingaroy Street. Parking disruptions will occur on both sides of Haly Street during this time.
  • Demolition on both sides of the road between Raine and Horne and Kingaroy Street will commence from the 18 October 2021.
  • George Street is programmed to remain open during this time.
  • Speed limit remains at 30 kph through constructions zones.
  • Please limit long term on-street parking during construction. Off-street parking is available in George Street, Roger Nunn Place, Alford Street and behind South Burnett Regional Council.

Impacted businesses remain open and locals are encouraged to support them during these times.

Temporary pedestrian pathways will be installed to navigate customers during construction.

The Project Team will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to mitigate the effects on parking as much as possible.

Motorists and pedestrians should travel with extreme care, drive to the prevailing road conditions, and adhere to all signage.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.

Please direct all enquiries and concerns to the Kingaroy Transformation Project team or email ktp@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
