Invitation to Offer – SBRC 20/21-174 – Sale of Rhodes Grass Hay
Council would like to invite offers on the sale of baled Rhodes Grass hay.
Large square bales are 2.7m x 1.2m x 0.9m (8x4x3ft). Round bales are 4x4ft.
The hay is cut from the irrigation area at the Kingaroy Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant and has been irrigated with recycled Class C water.
Revenue received from the sale of the fodder is used to offset the operational costs for running the treatment plant and facilities.
There is no withholding period. Bales will be sold as 8 lots.
Payment needs to be made within 1 week of award and bales must be removed from site within 2 weeks after payment has been received.
Removal and transport costs are at the buyer’s expense and are to follow all relevant and appropriate transport and safety regulations and South Burnett Regional Council safety requirements.

Council has introduced a 10% local preference loading for local residents and businesses wishing to purchase the hay.
Offer documents are available on Council’s website from Friday 11 June 2021.
Offers are to be placed in the Tender Box or e-mailed to info@sbrc.qld.gov.au by 4:00pm Friday 2 July 2021.
