Water Meter Replacement Programme Commencing Mid-April 2021
As part of Council’s routine maintenance programme and its commitment to ensure the long-term sustainability and efficiency of our water infrastructure,
Council will be continuing its water meter replacement programme in Nanango.
The replacement programme will run from Monday 19 April 2021 and is expected to be completed by Friday 7 May 2021.
Works will be carried out by Fiedler Brothers Plumbing as part of South Burnett Regional Council’s Capital Works programme. Access to your property will only be required if the meter is located within the premises and entry is necessary to complete the works.
Water meters are mechanical devices that wear with usage and age. We have a proactive replacement programme for water meters, which are nearing the end of their useful life. It is an ongoing programme that ensures your water meter readings and your water bills remain as accurate as possible.
Water meter replacement depends on the specifications of the individual meter. Therefore, it is normal that your meter may be replaced but the meter belonging to your neighbour may not be.
