Footpath construction commences - Bell Street, Kumbia
South Burnett Regional Council wishes to advise that construction works of a new footpath on Bell Street, Kumbia commenced yesterday, Monday 23 November 2020.
Works are scheduled to be completed in approximately three weeks, subject to weather and other external constraints. (refer image below)
Works, funded through the Drought Communities Programme and Council’s 2020/21 Capital Upgrade Works Programme, include tree removal, demolition and replacement of old concrete footpath and kerb and channel to provide pedestrian access from Francis Street to the existing footpath in front Kumbia State School.
In order to provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signage or with traffic controllers as required. Local access to properties within the work area will be permitted, however some delays may occur.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks businesses and the community for their patience whilst works are in progress.
