How do I access a locked waste facility?

For all enquiries regarding Council's waste disposal facilities including how to obtain an access code or key, please phone Council's Environment & Waste team on (07) 4189 9100 or email Council.

What can be recycled at Council's waste facilities?

Waste disposal and recycling options vary at each facility. To view what waste types can be disposed or recycled at each facility please refer Recycling in South Burnett.(PDF, 395KB)

When accessing a waste transfer station, consider the placement of waste in your vehicle and ensure recoverable materials are easily accessed.

Tip Shops

Council currently has a Recycle Shop operating at the Nanango Waste Facility and through a partnership with Recycle Links at Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy. These two recycle shops sell bargain second hand and recycled items that would have otherwise ended up in landfill.

Residents can drop off reusable unwanted items directly to the nearest Recycle Shop.
