2018 Hancock Prospecting Christmas Lights Competition

Residents of the South Burnett are encouraged to get into the festive spirit and enter the 2018 Hancock Prospecting Christmas Lights competition.
The competition boasts a substantial Grand Prize of a family holiday to Singapore to the value of $15,000 thanks to the generosity and sponsorship of Hancock Prospecting and the Georgina Hope Foundation.
The holiday is for two adults and two children (up to 12 years) including return economy flights from Brisbane to Singapore, five nights’ accommodation at the Shangri La Hotel with breakfast daily, return private transfers between Singapore Airport and the Shangri La Hotel, High Tea at Raffles and comprehensive travel insurance.
In partnership, Council is awarding prizes of $100 for first and $50 for second in the following categories:
- Kingaroy urban & rural (including Kumbia, Wooroolin and Memerambi)
- Nanango urban & rural (including Maidenwell and Bunya Mountains)
- Blackbutt urban & rural (including Benarkin)
- Wondai urban & rural (including Hivesville, Tingoora and Proston)
- Murgon urban & rural
Entries must be received prior to Thursday 29 November 2018. Competitors will then need to have their lights on display for judging from Monday 3 December to Monday 10 December 2018 between 7.00pm to 10.00pm.
Businesses are also encouraged to participate and will be featured on the map of entries. Businesses are not eligible for prizes. Previous winners of the Grand Prize are also not eligible to win again this year.
