Council’s Australia Day Grant and Christmas Carnival Sponsorship

South Burnett Regional Council supports the community’s not-for-profit organisations to deliver community events and programs to build community capacity through funding, provided to facilitate widespread community benefit. 

Council’s Community Grants Program is now open in the following categories:

• Christmas Carnival Sponsorship
• Australia Day Sponsorship

The Christmas Carnival Sponsorship grant provides funding to community groups to assist in delivering Christmas Carnivals and events each year throughout the region all the way from Blackbutt to Boondooma. Applications are now open and close on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

Council’s Australia Day grant provides funding to assist community groups and not-for-profits in the region in facilitating Australia Day events each year across the entire region. Applications are open and close on Saturday 31 October 2026.
