South Burnett Regional Council is conducting a Wild Dog & Feral Pig Coordinated Baiting Program. The Biosecurity Act 2014 requires everyone to take all reasonable and practical measures to minimise the biosecurity risks associated with invasive animals under their control.
To encourage greater participation, South Burnett Regional Council, in partnership with Sunpork Group, will be providing meat free of charge for landholders that register to participate in the coordinated program.
Baiting stations will be held throughout the South Burnett region from Monday 19 October to Friday 23 October 2026. All participants must register their intention to conduct baiting no later than Thursday 15 October 2026. This will allow sufficient time to receive your baiting information pack and ensure all notification and administrative requirements are met prior to attending the baiting station.
