Please be advised that South Burnett Regional Council will commence replacing the water main along Wickham Street, Nanango, between Goode Street and Appin Street East from Monday 16 June 2025.
The installation is planned to be carried out for approximately 6 weeks or to Friday 25 July 2025, weather permitting.
In order to provide a safe work environment for Council staff, contractors and users, traffic signage will be in place during the time of works to control flow of traffic and ensure pedestrian safety. Throughout the duration of works, it is expected that there will be several road closures affecting both lanes of traffic whilst crews install the watermains under the road.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
The works are anticipated to be carried out in a staged program and further communication will be provided with times of closures to affected businesses and residents.
