South Burnett Regional Council would like to remind residents that when it comes to disposing of large quantities or bulky waste it is important to use our designated landfill facilities instead of the smaller transfer stations.
Transfer Stations are designed to handle domestic everyday waste, but they have limited capacity and are not equipped to take all waste streams. By disposing of larger waste at our supervised facilities including Kingaroy, Murgon, Nanango, and Wondai, we can ensure that all waste is managed efficiently, and the transfer stations remain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
For further information and to view what waste types can be disposed or recycled at each facility please go to Council’s website, download the Recyclopedia app or contact Council’s Waste Team on 07 4189 9100.
