South Burnett Regional Council and Ergon Energy recently identified that switchboard and power supply to the Queensland Health building and the public amenities block is insufficient and non-compliant.

Recertification works to address these issues will be carried out by a local contractor and is to begin on Wednesday 18 June 2025 and will take approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

Council would like to advise the community the Roger Nunn playground will be fenced off for the duration of the works, the road and carparks between the Queensland Health building and playground will be closed off to the public. A section of the carpark will remain open during the works. First stage of works will be from the Queensland Health building across to the former bus terminal building. Second stage of works will be at the southern end of the carpark close to the Ergon transformer. Please refer to below maps.

During these works there will be some carparks closed off to access for approximately two (2) weeks.

The public amenities will remain open during works.

Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
