Storm Cleanup - Extended Wondai Waste Facility Opening Hours

South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise that due to the storm on Thursday 9 January 2025,

our Wondai Waste Facility has extended its opening hours and will be open Saturday 11 January and Sunday 12 January 2025 from 8am to 5pm to allow locals access to dispose of waste created by the storm.

This arrangement will be temporary to assist the Wondai community and will return to the regular operating hours of 1-5pm effective from Monday 13 January 2025.

In addition, there will be Green Waste skip bins available at various locations around Wondai from Monday 13 January 2025 including:

• Mackenzie Street/ Osborne Street intersection (rail trail side)
• Old Wondai Road/ Outridge Street intersection (park side)
• Lysdale Road/ Slaters Road intersection
• Greenview Road/ Hines Road intersection

These skip bins are only to be used for green waste and all other waste is required to be taken to the Wondai Waste Facility.
