The South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) has met this morning and remains at Stand Up and is continuing to provide support to the Queensland Fire Department concerning the current fire situation in the Teelah area. The LDMG will meet again at 3.00pm.
The LDMG urge the community to remain calm, stay safe and, if required to leave your property, please go to family and friends in the first instance. A place of refuge is currently available in the Blackbutt Memorial Hall today, Wednesday 23 September 2026. Residents are invited to attend the hall if you require assistance or further information. The Blackbutt Showgrounds is available for those residents that require a place for their animals.
A Community meeting for residents will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall at 5.30pm today, Wednesday 23 September 2026.
