The South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) has this morning moved to Stand Up.  The LDMG are continuing to monitor the current weather situation and deploy resources as required.

The region has received heavy rainfall overnight and impacts to the road network with flash flooding has occurred. Council has commenced closures of bridges and roads and will continue closures as additional roads become impassable across the network.  Some roads may not have signs erected and Council officers will endeavour to inspect these throughout the day.

The community should monitor the disaster dashboard for updates on road conditions and observe road closure signage. Please consider your need to travel as the safety of its residents and travellers is paramount.

Council urges residents to report road flooding or road damage to Council on the 4189 9100 number.
