will join the South Burnett community to celebrate Australia Day by attending the Australia Day Award Presentation on Saturday 25 January 2025.
“Australia Day is an opportunity to showcase what’s great about the South Burnett and to celebrate the individuals and groups in our community who stand out in their chosen field or that go above and beyond to support others. Australia Day Ambassador Dr Tim Baker’s presence on our regional day of celebration will make this year one to remember,” Mayor Kathy Duff said.

Dr Tim Baker is a distinguished leadership development expert, organisational development consultant, and author of 19 books. His commitment to practical and human-centered solutions has sparked a new era of thought in the industry.
Tim’s expertise has been shared in over 2,800 seminars, workshops and keynote addresses, reaching over 50,000 individuals in 13 countries across 21 industry groups.
His academic credentials include a PhD in organisation development, and behavioural science and education degrees. Tim’s thesis was awarded the prestigious Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Award in 2007, earning him a High Commendation.
His clients include Boeing, Singapore Airlines, Unilever, SAP, Lenovo, IBM, and MASTECH Asia Pacific. Tim has worked with varied clients, from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to Al Safi Foods in Saudi Arabia.
Ambassadors become guests of honour and participate in activities as diverse as the communities they visit. The Program is one of the longest running and most successful national Australia Day programs sending high achieving Australians to over 300 community celebrations nationwide every Australia Day. Ambassadors are past recipients of the Australian of the Year Awards, sportspeople, scientists, businesspeople, actors, and community workers who contributed greatly to the community.
