This week marks Rural Fire Service Queensland Week, and South Burnett Regional Council would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to all of our hardworking Rural Fire Service volunteers.

Your courage, dedication, and quick response during extreme fire conditions play a vital role in protecting our communities. You know your local area better than anyone, and your efforts to safeguard our people, homes, infrastructure, and wildlife are truly appreciated.

Thank you for your unwavering service — our region is safer because of you.

Please take a moment this week to thank our hard working rural fire volunteers in the South Burnett.

Do you want to give back to the community and become a rural fire brigade member?

Whether you're on the front line or supporting those who are, every role at the Rural Fire Service Queensland counts. As a brigade member, you'll experience the camaraderie of being part of a team united towards a common goal, and the satisfaction of knowing you're making a difference to protect the people, property and environment of your community. Members of rural brigades come from all walks of life - so becoming a volunteer is a great way to get to know people and build networks within your community.
