South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise the users of the Ros Gregor walkway, residents and visitors that works will begin late October to remove a section of concrete and replace it with pipework and concrete constructed at a higher level to prevent flooding over the path.
“I am so pleased that these works will help to make the track a lot safer during rain events”, said Cr Jane Erkens.
The walkway will remain open during these works, there may be detours in place around the construction site. Works are expected to take two weeks to complete.
These works are proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Works for Queensland Program. This project has been allocated $20,000 by Council which is a component of the Liveability Infrastructure – Parks Program, which received $895,303 in funding through the 2024-27 Works for Queensland Program.
