South Burnett Regional Council advises that road widening works will be undertaken on Blackbutt Crow’s Nest Road, between 3.1 km and 6.3 km from Blackbutt. The existing single lane bitumen sealed pavement with unsealed shoulders will be upgraded to a 2-lane sealed pavement.

Works are scheduled to commence during the week of Monday 16 February 2026.

To facilitate works, temporary traffic control measures will be in place, including lane closures and traffic control. Temporary delays to traffic of up to 10 minutes are expected during construction.

Access for residents and property owners will be maintained where possible and managed by site staff.

The anticipated duration of the project is approximately 4 months, subject to weather conditions and construction progress.

Construction activity will generate noise from machinery and equipment, and there may be temporary restrictions to roadside access within the work area. Council appreciates the patience and cooperation of road users and nearby residents during this period.

Site works and construction activity will be performed Monday to Friday 6:30am – 5:00pm. The project is expected to be completed by June 2026, weather and machinery permitting.

This project has been funded under the Queensland Government’s Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme.
