South Burnett Regional Council advises that the shade sail replacement at the gardens of Ringsfield House, Nanango will begin on Thursday 12 June 2025 and will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The work site will be fenced off for public safety, but the majority of the gardens will still be open to the public during this time.
The current sails, which are at their end of life, will be replaced to the existing poles. The replacement sails will be more water resistant and have a higher shade rating than the old sails.
These works are proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Works for Queensland Program. The shade sail replacements are a component of the Liveability Infrastructure – Parks Program, which received $895,303 in funding through the 2024-27 Works for Queensland Program.
During this time the house will be available for functions. Bookings can be made via Bookable https://southburnett.bookable.net.au/. The area will be reopened on Thursday 26 June 2025.
Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
