Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Opportunities
Published on 15 May 2026
South Burnett Regional Council is proud of, and actively supports its arts, culture and heritage activities across the region.
Council is releasing a great opportunity through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) and is offering grant funding up to $15,000. This year we are encouraging South Burnett community members to take arts, culture and heritage to the people in the community, broadening exposure to those that would not normally be active in the creative scene.
If you have a great idea for a project in mind, please contact Council, as it may be eligible for this great opportunity. You are encouraged to read the SBRC RADF guidelines that provides details on the criteria for eligible projects and individuals or groups eligible to apply.
Cr Danita Potter said, “This Council actively promotes the arts, culture and heritage across the region. The region’s museums, art galleries, cultural events and heritage facilities offer a wealth of diverse cultural destinations and events for visitors and the community to enjoy. This RADF Grant major round funding is a great opportunity to help promote the arts, culture and heritage to the community.”
Minister for Education and the Arts John-Paul Langbroek said the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) has an impressive track record of supporting local arts and cultural programs across Queensland communities.
“The Crisafulli Government’s multi-year RADF investment provides greater funding certainty for 59 regional councils, streamlined program management and red tape reduction, while boosting the state’s vibrant arts and cultural scene,” Minister Langbroek said.
“Each year, RADF programs reach more than one million people across Queensland, securing local arts experiences and cultural tourism opportunities in regional areas, as well as supporting local artists in the lead up to Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“For 34 years, Arts Queensland has partnered with regional councils to co-invest in local arts initiatives that generate jobs, community engagement and help boost local economies. The Crisafulli Government will continue to support these vital collaborations.”
This grant is a competitive process, and applications will be evaluated by the criteria in the objectives of the grant program.
The grant funding round closes on Monday 15 June 2026.
RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and South Burnett Regional Council to promote local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Applicants are encouraged to read the guidelines and then to contact Council’s RADF Liaison Officer before submitting an application. For further information, please phone Council on 4189 9100 or email grantsadmin@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
