Regrettably, the Proston Swimming Pool will temporarily close to the public as Council advertises for a new pool manager. Unfortunately, the Proston Parents and Citizens are not currently in a position to supervise the Proston Pool. The Department of Education will oversee the pool for school swimming activities only.
Council would also like to assure the Proston community that while the Pool is closed at this stage, Council is in discussions with interested parties to manage the pool, further updates will be provided.
Alternative Swimming Options
During this period, no community activities such as public swimming, learn-to-swim classes, or exercise sessions will be available at the Proston Swimming Pool. We encourage those interested in these activities to consider visiting the following facilities:
These locations offer a variety of services including learn-to-swim programs, swimming classes, squads, and exercise classes.
Council looks forward to giving further updates on the opening dates for the Proston Pool.
