South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to announce an upcoming enhancement to the Memorial Monument located at the eastern end of QEII Park in Murgon, along Gore Street. This project involves the installation of two power points at the monument, improving the site's functionality for events and gatherings.

To facilitate the installation of these power points, a small tunnel for conduit will be bored from QEII Park, running under Gore Street, and exiting near the garden beside the monument. This method ensures minimal disruption to the park's surface and preserves its aesthetic appeal.

The project will commence on Tuesday 14 July 2026 and is anticipated to be completed by Thursday 16 July 2026. The park will remain open to the community during this time, however there will be safety fencing in place where works are being conducted.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks you for your patience whilst works are in progress.
