As a part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving the local road network, South Burnett Regional Council advises of upcoming pavement repair and maintenance works scheduled at Woltmanns Road (Paines Road-Swains Road), Swains Road (Woltmanns Road-Stubbs Armstrong Road) and Stubbs Armstrong Road (Chinchilla Wondai Road – Woolletts Road) to commence on Monday 23 February 2026.
The work involves excavation of failed pavement and fill in with road base followed by bitumen seal. These improvements are essential to ensure the continued safety of road users and to extend the service life of the pavement. To facilitate works, temporary traffic control measures will be in place, including lane closure and traffic control. Access for residents, property owners and road users will be maintained where possible and managed by site staff.
Construction activity will generate noise from machinery and equipment, and there may be temporary restrictions to roadside access within the work area.
Site works and construction activity will be performed Monday to Friday 7:00am – 7:00pm. The project is expected to be completed by Tuesday 31 March 2026 subject to weather and resources availability.
