South Burnett Regional Council is delighted to host Opera Queensland in October to present opera’s greatest hits with Bravo! at Kingaroy Town Hall as part of Opera Queensland Regional Bravo! Queensland East Coast Tour in 2026.

Opera Queensland will take some of opera’s most recognisable music on the road this October and November, bringing its lively new concert Bravo! to communities across Queensland.

Travelling from Ipswich and Gympie to Kingaroy and the Gold Coast, this 80-minute concert brings together much-loved music by Puccini, Verdi, Mozart, Bizet and more.

Created for seasoned opera lovers and first-time audiences alike, the program features melodies many people will instantly recognise, even if they do not yet know the operas from which they come.

Bravo! stars current and former Opera Queensland Young Artists Nick Kirkup, Lachlann Lawton and Maddie Stephens, alongside Western Australian artist Chelsea Burns, accompanied by renowned pianist Beverley Kennedy.

Warm and engaging introductions throughout the concert will reveal the stories, characters and composers behind the music, offering audiences an entertaining introduction to the extraordinary world of opera.

Presented with warmth and humour, Bravo! is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages and levels of familiarity with opera.

The regional tour reflects Opera Queensland's ongoing commitment to bringing world-class music to communities throughout East, Central, North and Far North Queensland.
