Official Opening of Youth Precinct at Kingaroy Memorial Park

The Honourable Deborah Frecklington MP, Member for Nanango and Attorney-General and Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity, will be the special guest at the official opening

of the Youth Precinct at Kingaroy Memorial Park on Saturday 8 February 2025.

The opening will begin at 3pm with Kingaroy Basketball Association running 3 x3 basketball competitions with prizes for the winners. At 5pm Minister Frecklington, Mayor Kathy Duff and South Burnett Regional Council Councillors and staff, local contractors and stakeholders will be on hand for the official opening ceremony.

Members of the community are welcome to attend. There will be a BBQ by the Rotary Club of Kingaroy and Amy’s Ice Cream Van will also be there.

Council would like to acknowledge the Department of Sports, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games for assisting to deliver this project that will be enjoyed by everyone from the region.

The Youth Precinct has been jointly funded through the Queensland State Government’s Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games - Minor Infrastructure Program, which provides targeted funding to eligible organisations to help the sport and active recreation industry deliver new, upgraded and end of life infrastructure projects and works and South Burnett Regional Council.
