South Burnett Regional Council advises that works have been undertaken on the under‑road drainage structure on Olsens Road, Cushnie, approximately 1 km from the Tingoora Chelmsford Road end at chainage 1250, and the road has now reopened to the public.
Temporary replacement has been undertaken, and traffic is currently permitted to travel through this section under traffic control conditions, with single‑lane access only maintained across the temporary drainage structure. A reduced speed limit of 60 km/h is in place at the location to ensure the safety of road users.
Investigations into the permanent replacement of the drainage structure is underway and will be considered in Council’s 2026/27 Capital works budget.
Council appreciates the community’s patience while these works were undertaken and asks motorists to observe signage and traffic controls in the area.
