South Burnett Regional Council advises that flood damage works have been undertaken on the drainage structure on Gayndah Hivesville Road, Hivesville, near Basin Road intersection, and the road has now reopened to the public.
Temporary repairs have now been carried out, with traffic currently permitted to travel through this section under traffic control conditions. Motorist should note that single-lane access is in place across the temporary drainage structure and a reduced speed limit of 60 km/h is in place at this location to ensure the safety of road users.
Council is continuing investigations into a permanent replacement for the drainage structure.
Council appreciates the community’s patience while these works were undertaken and asks motorists to observe signage and traffic controls in the area.
