South Burnett Regional Council advises that Glendon Street Playground, located on Glendon Street and Circular Place Kingaroy will be temporarily closed to undertake planned works for the Yurika Digital Connectivity Project. These works are programmed to commence Monday 29 September 2025 until Friday 31 October 2025, weather and machinery permitting.
The five carparks along the fence line of Glendon Street playground will also be closed during these works. Temporary fencing will be installed around the playground to restrict access to public and enhance safety whilst construction is carried out.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions, and adhere to signage.
Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
The Kingaroy Townhall forecourt, located adjacent to the park, can be used as an alternative location for residents and visitors to use seating facilities, alternative playgrounds in the area are located at Memorial Park or Kingaroy Rotary Park.
