The installation is planned to be carried out for approximately 4 weeks until Friday 30 May 2025, weather permitting.
In order to provide a safe work environment for Council staff, contractors and users, traffic control and signage will be in place during the time of works to control flow of traffic and ensure pedestrian safety. There will be a partial road and footpath closure for the left-hand lane (if travelling from Markwell to Avoca Street).
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
We anticipate works will be carried out in a staged program and further communication will be provided with times of closures to affected businesses and residents.
