South Burnett Regional Council advises the replacement of the sewer main along Palace Lane, Nanango, between Drayton Street and Alfred Street, will commence on Tuesday 12 August 2025.
The installation is anticipated to take approximately eight (8) days to complete, wet weather and machinery permitting.
To provide a safe work environment for Council staff, contractors and users, traffic signage will be in place during the time of works to control flow of traffic and ensure pedestrian safety. Throughout the duration of works, it is expected that there will be a road closure affecting the single lane of traffic whilst crews install the sewer main under the road.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
Works are anticipated to be carried out in a staged program and further communication will be provided with times of closures to affected businesses and residents.
