South Burnett Regional Council advises that the temporary repair works on Scotts Lane, completed in October 2025, have now been finalised. These works provided short-term surface improvements while planning and scheduling for the permanent restoration program continued.
Works have since progressed, and Council crews have commenced the first stage of permanent restoration works. This stage will focus on drainage improvements, including desilting culverts and reinstating drainage paths to improve stormwater management.
Due to prior operational commitments, crews will remobilise in early January 2026 to complete the remaining roadway works. These works will include importing gravel, regrading and reforming the roadway, and removing unsuitable flood-affected materials to deliver a more resilient road surface.
Council appreciates the community’s cooperation and patience as these important restoration activities progress.
