South Burnett Regional Council advises the replacement of the water main from the Proston Reservoir to Beresford Street, Proston has commenced.
The installation is anticipated to take approximately six (6) weeks, wet weather and machinery permitting.
To provide a safe work environment for Council staff, contractors and users, traffic signage will be in place during the time of works to control flow of traffic and ensure pedestrian safety.
Works are anticipated to be carried out in a staged program and further communication regarding road closures and water interruption notices will be provided with specifics to affected businesses and residents.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
