The South Burnett Aquatic Centre will undergo a short-term closure to facilitate essential maintenance and improvement works. The pool will be closed to the public from the close of business on Sunday 15 March and is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday 25 March 2026.

During the closure the following works will be undertaken:

  • replacement of the Hydro Pool heater and circulation pump
  • repairs to the Ventilation System to maintain air quality and comfort for patrons and staff
  • cleaning of the Hydro Pool tiles, grates, and handrails to maintain hygiene and safety standards.

Due to the full closure of the complex, please contact the Pool Manager to make arrangements for classes and lessons.  Council’s swimming pools in Blackbutt, Kingaroy, Wondai, Murgon and Proston will be open during this closure and offer a range of classes and lessons.

Council appreciates the community's understanding and patience during this time and look forward to welcoming everyone back to an improved facility.
