Memerambi Transfer Station Gate Installation and Access Card Implementation
South Burnett Regional Council advises a new gate, with an access card reader, has been installed at the Memerambi Transfer Station.
This upgrade will limit access to those who live within the Memerambi locality and parts of the Wooroolin locality ensuring a safer, cleaner and more efficient facility for residents. The new access control system will require all users to scan the access card to enter and exit the facility.
The card reader will be operational commencing Monday 25 August 2025. Prior to the commencement date only members of the public authorised to access the facility will be provided with an access card.
“The Memerambi waste transfer station has been open for some time and I thank the residents for being responsible in the usage of this facility. It’s a shame that we need to have cameras to ensure that some people don’t dump illegally. I encourage those that use this facility to apply at a council office for the swipe card prior to the gate being locked and I ask all residents to use the transfer station responsibly”, said Deputy Mayor Ros Heit.
Council appreciates your cooperation as these improvements are implemented.
