Kingaroy Pool Manager Implements Trial on the Usage of the Indoor Heat

The Kingaroy Aquatic Centre opened its Learn to Swim heated pool for public use for a 6– week trial period, starting Saturday 20 September to Friday 31 October 2025.

Availability of the pool will be 8:15am to 9:15am Monday, Wednesday, Friday and public holidays 10am to 11am. Learn to Swim classes will remain as per schedule.

There will be set rules in place for patrons to follow.

Pool Rules

  1. A Lifeguard must always be present to perform lifesaving duties and not to assist with entering and exiting the pool.
  2. Trainers, physiotherapists, and carers must always be in the pool with their clients.
  3. To access the pool, people must be able to enter and exit via the stairs and bench seating within the pool.
  4. No chair lift is available.
  5. The heated pool is not to be used for lap swimming.
  6. No children are allowed access to pool without a parent in the water with them.
  7. Children under the age of 12 must always be within arm’s reach.

Patrons also need to remember that the Learn to Swin heated pool is indoors and has a temperature of 30OC, which is not the temperature level for a hydrotherapy pool. Access is not suitable for disabled or physically impaired patrons.
