South Burnett Regional Council would like to invite the community to ‘Have your Say’ on new playground equipment to be installed at the Memerambi park as part of Council’s 2025/26 Capital Works Program.

These works are proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Works for Queensland Program. The new playground at Memerambi has been allocated $100,000 by Council which is a component of the Liveability Infrastructure - Parks projects which has received $895,303 in funding from the Queensland Government’s 2024-27 Works for Queensland program.

Councillors and Council staff will be in the park on Saturday 4 October 2025 to discuss playground equipment concepts. Council would like to hear from local families and what is important to you.

Where: Memerambi Park Picnic Shelter area

When: Saturday 4 October 2025

Time: 10am to 11:30am

“Memerambi has a lot of young families and I’m looking forward to this first stage of a playground in the village, allowing these young families to have a place to meet and build connections and further develop the community of Memerambi.  Many people ride the rail trail and play equipment here would be an attraction for them. I’m hoping with a new playground, the shop in Memerambi opens, assisting economic development for the village.  I’m looking forward to talking to local residents and school children to get their ideas on what they would like in Memerambi. I encourage everyone to consider the best option and complete the survey by 5pm on Monday 27 October 2025”, said Deputy Mayor Ros Heit.

If you are unable to attend and would like to have your say, an online survey is available here, to provide feedback. For any further enquiries contact Council on 4189 9100 or email info@sbrc.qld.gov.au
