South Burnett Regional Council advises the community that the amenities at First Settlers’ Park, Benarkin will be closed for maintenance from 8am on Monday 31 August 2026.
Council will be closing the amenities and will be isolating water to the toilet and shower facilities. The closure of the amenities is to investigate a water leak and conduct repairs. Council is unable to predict when the facilities will be reopened but will make every endeavour to have the amenities up and running as soon as possible.
Council will provide a Portaloo on site until the amenities are open again, however, no showers will be available, and the amenities block will be closed off to the public.
The nearest shower amenities are located at Reg McCallum Park in Nanango.
