South Burnett Regional Council is seeking quotations for the sale and removal of the Boondooma bunkhouse and recreation building located at the Boondooma Dam Caravan and Recreation Park.
The bunkhouse was utilised as accommodation during the construction of the dam from 1980 to 1983. In 2021 Council moved the building from the Lookout to its current location and has undertaken renovations to update to a standard for short term accommodation.
Council has assessed the current and future accommodation requirements of the park and seeks to change the type of accommodation offered in this site from “bunkhouse” accommodation to individual cabins or up-market powered caravan ensuite sites.
Both buildings have the opportunity to be repurposed and provide an accommodation and a general recreation facility. Not-for-profit Associations are encouraged to apply along with any private tenderer.
Offer documents can be downloaded by registering on Council's tendering platform Tenderlink. Registration instructions and links can be found on Council's website under Tenders & Supply.
The Tenderlink reference is BURNET-1129716. Submissions now close at 2pm on Thursday 26 June 2025.
