South Burnett Regional Council advises that stormwater drainage works will be undertaken on Brisbane Street Nanango, between Drayton Street and Hospital Terrace. The existing drainage channel will be re-shaped and lined with rock, along with pipes being replaced with box culverts.

Works are scheduled to commence during the week of Monday 19 October 2026. The anticipated duration of the project is approximately 3 weeks, subject to weather conditions and construction progress.

To facilitate works, temporary traffic control measures will be in place, including lane closures and traffic control. Temporary delays to traffic of up to 10 minutes are expected during construction.

Access for residents and property owners will be maintained where possible and managed by site staff.

Construction activity will generate noise from machinery and equipment, and there may be temporary restrictions to roadside access within the work area. Council appreciates the patience and cooperation of road users and nearby residents during this period.

Site works and construction activity will be performed Monday to Friday 6:30am – 5:00pm. The project is expected to be completed by early November 2026.

This project has been funded under the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland Scheme.

For further information regarding the project works, please contact Council’s Infrastructure team on (07) 4189 9100 or email info@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
