South Burnett Regional Council advises that dog registration renewals have now been issued. If you receive your notice via post, these have been posted and you will receive these shortly. Emailed notices will be issued today, Tuesday 1 September 2026.
Residents are advised the current registration renewal period is from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, or 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029 for 3 year registrations, with payment due on 13 October 2026.
If your dog has outstanding fees from previous renewal periods, you will notice that this has been included in the total amount due and is required to be paid along with the new fee.
If you would like to change to a 3 year registration, please complete the change of details on the back of your renewal notice and return to Council on or before 29 September 2026. Your dog/s must be desexed to be eligible for a 3 year registration.
Please contact Council to make payment or update any details, including change of ownership, if you have moved out of the area or if your dog has sadly passed away.
Please note under the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 Section 54 it is the animal owner’s responsibility to notify Council within 7 days of any changed information. Penalties apply for failing to update details.
