South Burnett Regional Council is excited to announce the completion of multiple projects at the Coolabunia Saleyards and Truck Wash through Council’s capital Works program.

Security Fencing has been installed around the perimeter of the Saleyards to mitigate the risk for livestock escaping and impeding traffic and for the security of the facility.

The Truck Wash concrete slab has been extended to accommodate longer vehicles utilising this facility. This facility is heavily used every day.

Modifications were also undertaken to the Double loading ramps to meet workplace, health and safety requirements. This work was undertaken by Council’s fabrication team.

Mayor Kathy Duff said, “Council is supporting the growth of our vital rural community by upgrading these facilities.”

Council would like to thank everyone for their cooperation in allowing these Capital Works projects to be undertaken and completed.

"The saleyards are an integral part of the South Burnett and they offer more than just cattle sales, they are a meeting place for our community to bring people together” said Cr Danita Potter.
